GandhadaGudi member Cee writes audio review of Prajwal Devaraj's upcoming movie GULAAMA !

Movie: GULAAMA

Starring Prajwal Devraj, Biyanka, Sonu
Music Gurukiran
Lyrics Tushar Ranganath, Kaviraj
Director Tushar Ranganath
Producer Ramu
Music On Anand Audio
 Producer Aditya Babu

There are 5 songs in the album, lyrics are by the director himself and Kaviraj.

  1. Shakala Shakala Umma - Ee haaDu Prajwal image-ge suit aagovante ide. Aadre, idu Tarkan-na Kiss Kiss anno haaDna yathavat copy.
That song was not fit to be copied in the first place. To compound our
miseries the singers - Gurukiran & Sunita make a mess of the song.
  2. Snehitane snehitane
    - Just when I'm hitting my head to the wall, Guruji strikes back with
this song. Idra instrumentation is awesome, the violin used in the
beginning is what made me like this song. Singers Srinivas and Chitra
    do a good job too.
  3. Ishte Ishtu Iruva Hrudaya
    - Another striking song. Idu viraha geete. The music is mesmerizing -
one of the best viraha geetes I've heard in a while now. While I'm not
a fan of Madhu Balakrishna, he does a brilliant job singing this song.
My favorite of this album. The lyrics are nice too.
  4. Taare Annutaare
    - Idu item song-o athva normal dance song of the heroine-o artha
aagilla. Whatever it is, idu saadharaNa haaDu to begin with, using
Sunidhi to sing this makes it even more ordinary. Kaviraj avra lyrics
has a lot of English and Hindi words in it which don't enhance the song
    in any way. :vom:
  5. Chandaalana Kaili
    - Male bonding haaDu. Just when I begin to dismiss it as yet another
filler song, the charaNa impresses. Gururaj Hoskote (I think) has sung
his portions of the song brilliantly. KeLo haagide ee haaDu.

Overall,
a good album by Guruji. Due to the lack of info on Gulaama - I've no
idea if the film is a remake and the songs are baLuvaLi of the original
movie. I'm assuming the first song is the only one that's copied, based
on that my rating would be a 3/5. :)
