Serial blasts rock bangalore!!

Serial bomb blasts have rocked Bangalore today afternoon at around 1:300 to 3:00pm at various places. The first blast near Hosur road was reported by Chetan BS to the forum thread directly at around 2:28pm. At the same time blasts also took place at Adugodi, Nayandahalli. Within 15 more minutes, same Chetan reported on the forum saying that the fourth blast took place at Langford road. Within 15 more minutes Goodman reported that the 5th blast took place at Mallya road.

Since most visitors of GandhadaGudi stay Bangalore, I thought of reporting this on homepage. I know its too late now. It was all due to load shedding that i could not come online in time. Most of the mobile and telecom networks in and around Bangalore have been jammed due to the sudden surge in SMSes and phone calls that Bangloreans have made to their near and dear ones. Mobile networks are now returning to normal conditions.

It was said there were 6 blasts totally. All were said to have been done using gelatin sticks and the intensity of the blasts was not so strong. Till now one lady identified Lakshmi has been killed. There are other casualties as well. Some have been saying that there was a 7th blast too, but not confirmed. Bangalore has been placed on high alert after the blasts.

At this point of time, i would suggest you some tips:

1. Never go out of your place.
2. Be attentive wherever you are.
3. Keep an eye on any boxes, things kept without owners.
4. Avoid going near crowded and covered places.
5. If you find anything doubtful around you, inform the police.
6. Since these are serial blasts, you cannot say whether some more bombs have been planted at other places. So be careful.

Bomb blast effect on KFI:
Since bomb blasts, there have been fluctuations in the stock markets at Mumbai. I guess these serial blasts will hinder the movie goers to some extent. The reason being that cinema halls are easy targets of terrorists. Will these blasts affect the movie going people? Well we have to wait and see...
