Madeshaa ……. A Preview

” Madeshaa ” is a film to look out for , releasing next month, it is a mass enterainer with Mother son sentiment woven in the story. Its a very important film for Hatric hero Shivarajkumar who is waiting for another blockbuster after ” JOGI ” and director Ravi srivasta who want to have a comeback

Three years back when a film called “ Deadly Soma “ was released , no body gave it a chance to do well against the might of “ JOGI “ ( with same rowdiesm theme) which was making a mincemeat of all the films released at that time ., because

1. It has a struggling actor “Aditya “ who has two successive flops behind him.

2. It has a director who was a totally un known face called “ Ravi srivatsa”.

But to every once surprise the film turned out to be a super hit .

A real life story provided by journalist “ Ravi Belagere “ who is also a friend of “ Ravi srivatsa “ a tight screen play , and a powerful performance by aditya did the trick and overnight made Ravi srivatsa a star director.

Success makes the man arrogant , complacence and also some times over confidence.

Same thing happened to director “ Ravi srivatsa “ also and after words he was more in news for his arrogance and misdeeds than his films.

But life is a good teacher. His next films “ Ganda Hendthi ( a direct lift from a famous bollywood hit ) and “ Eee Rajiv Gandhi alla “ are bombed so badly that director “ Ravi srivatsa “ was not only back to earth , but also back to his senses.

Realizing his past mistakes both in films and in real life “ Ravi srivatsa “ more humble and more careful was frantically in search of a story which may bring him back into lime light.

Again his good old friend “ Ravi Belagere “ came to his rescue by providing him with another story from his book on underworld elements ( Paapigala lokadalli ).

It was the story of a village simpleton called “ madeshaa “ who turned into an underworld DON ( reminiscent of JOGI).

Its Ravi Belagere who suggested “ Shivarajkumar’s “ name for the title role who has created sensation in KFI in similar roles with his sterling performance both in OM & JOGI.

When Shivarajkumar read the script , impressed and gave his nod, “ Ravi srivatsa “ was in cloud nine. He new that he has a very big project on his hand which require extensive shootings in foreign locations.

But the main problem was its estimated budget which went over roof . Who will dare to invest a whooping Rs 8 crores on a kannada film that too with a flop director.

But “ Ravi srivatsa “ was lucky enough to find a producer for this mammoth project called “ B.M. Goverdhan murthy “ , a simple and young man who has corers worth of ancestral property and hundeds of acres of irrigated land. A movie buff himself Mr.Goverdhan murthy wanted to produce a film and when he heard that his favourite hero Shivaraj kumar has agreed to act I it , he readily agreed to finance it.

The mahurtha for “ Madeshaa “ was held with much grandeur and fan fare in Palace ground Bangalore on October 3rd 2007 with attractive and creatively designed wall posters and vinyl posters put up in city and in other parts of Karanataka , the hype was unprecedented.

The new look of Shivaraj kumar , the selection of “ Sonu Bhatia “ a bollywood model, dialogues by Ravi belagere , selection of music director “ Mano murthy “ the most talented , sought after and busiest music director in KF today, and news that two important roles will be played by journalist Ravi belagere and bollywood actor “ Ravi kale “ who made waves with his portrayal of “ Shivarasan’s” character in film “ cynide “ , have only added to the hype.

Though the shooting took a little more time ( an year approximately) , but the hype was intact , thanks to time to time release of production news and stills of films in media. Finally it is completed .

Shot extensively in exotic foreign locations like Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia ( about 60%), the stills released to press from time to time were very promising.

The Audio release function of “ Madeshaa “ was held at “ Gayatri vllas “ of Royal palace Bangalore in another star studed function attended by eminent personalities of KFI and an entire Dr.Raj family ( off course missing was Dr.Raj him self ).

With songs already topping the charts and promising to remain there for at least second half of 2008, the film is slated to be released on July 18th a week after hatric hero Shivaraj kumar’ s birthday.

It’s an acid test for both “ Shivaraj kumar “ and its director “ Ravi srivatsa “.

But the promo’s are awesome ( both posters & TV promo’s ) and promises to deliver another block buster aka JOGi..
