This friday Darshan's Gaja is releasing with Narthaki as main theatre. Navya Nair is the heroine of the film. Madesh had directed this film. There were talks that this film was the remake of a telugu film Bhadra. But the team has claimed their film to be based on a novel by P. Ramachandra Rao. While all doubts exist about the source of story, no doubts that it is a pakka darshan type of masala mix movie.
But the highlight seems to be the family drama in full scale which were usually absent in Darshan films. Tejasvini and others have acted in the movie. V. Hari Krishna, now a days the regular music director for Darshan's films has scored the music.
This film was long delayed movie for release. The trailors were on tv long ago. And the release date never stable and finally releasing this week. Since the few previous films of Darshan have not done well at the box office, it was surely difficult to regain that market value for this film which Darshan films had a year ago. Big films like Ee Bandhana and Preethi Eke in the queue also delayed its release.
Next week probably, Yogaraj Bhat's Galipata and Rathnaja's Honganasu are supposed to be released. While Honganasu producer Ajay Gowda has successfully booked the theatre sagar, the non-Kannada producers of Galipata have got a bad theatre Aparna.
Preethi Eke producer Ram Prasad and Prem have claimed that their film is not a flop movie but a SUPER HIT. And same response for next three weeks will get back their investment. But the question is.. whether the film can sustain the same collections with Gaja releasing this week (mass audience will surely run to Gaja) and Galipata and Honganasu for next week.
